@ Michael – I could understand, especially considering how frequently you post. I imagine it does become complicated. And I agree with the askismet comment as well.

@ Jenn – Seeing as how I personally know you I can say this. Batch your personality and the world blows up…..I mean that in the kindest of ways too.

I can’t batch comment moderation, because the sooner the comments get out there, the sooner there are replies and more conversation. People won’t comment if they don’t see their comments appearing until hours and hours later. Batching comment moderation is bad for blogging success.

Unfortunately, they must be moderated when you turn off “no follow” and get decent traffic. Every spammer in the world comes after you and askismet is not enough.

batching?
it is a shame you can’t ‘batch’ thinking.
I would have so many more good nights sleep if I could turn off the thought (design/reflective) process. I would be so nice to have not have stuff to consider for a few hours, this is not a complaint more an observation.

One thing I would recommend NOT batching is alcohol consumption. I’m not a big fan of going out and doing the whole drinking/party thing, but a few weekends ago my friends talked me into it. I suppose I tried to compensate for not having had such an experience in quite I “batched” several months worth long island iced teas into one night – then spent much of the latter part of the evening in the bathroom.
